The NBA’s Southeast Division features five teams with very different expectations heading into the 2023-2024 season.
The Southeast is headlined by the 2023 NBA Finals runner-up Miami Heat, and the division will seemingly run through them once again, as it has many times since its inception in 2004.
Miami has won 12 division titles in 19 years and is the early favorite to do so again next season.
Let’s look at the latest Southeast Division betting odds and make some NBA division winner bets for the 2023-24 campaign.

Oddsmakers currently have the Southeast Division as a two-team race between the Miami Heat and Atlanta Hawks.
The Washington Wizards have the longest odds of winning the division after trading away their two star players, Bradley Beal and Kristaps Porziņģis, this offseason.
With Orlando and Charlotte sporting younger rosters, Atlanta and Miami sporting the lowest odds makes the most sense.
However, the odds could shade even further in Miami’s direction with Damian Lillard expressing his desire to join the squad via trade.

Miami Heat (-185)
Miami’s Cinderella run in the 2023 NBA Playoffs was nothing short of spectacular.
The Heat became just the second No. 8 seed to reach the NBA Finals and should look to build off that success in the 2023-24 season.

While the squad did lose two key starters in the offseason, the central core of Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and head coach Erik Spoelstra have proven time and time again that they can succeed with just about anyone on the roster.
And should they acquire Lilliard, who earned a spot on All-NBA Third Team last season, the Heat will be heavy favorites to collect another division title.
NBA Southeast Division Winner Sleeper Pick
Atlanta Hawks (+190)
With every other team sporting long-shot odds, selecting the Hawks as a sleeper pick to win the division should be a given.
Atlanta has been one of Miami’s biggest competitors in recent history and could certainly challenge the 2023 Eastern Conference champions next season.
The Quin Snyder-led squad flourished towards the end of the regular season and beat Miami in the opening game of the NBA Play-In Tournament.
Should some of their younger players, like Onyeka Okongwu and De’Andre Hunter, continue to develop, Atlanta could find itself atop the Southeast Division after 82 games.
